Good afternoon from a pleasant day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. I've been outside a few times this morning. I'm glad the windchills are history, at least the severe ones. It's time for the weekly health report. My last report on January 12, showed my weight at 203.3. It was also the last day until today that I worked on the exercise bike in the community room. It's open now and we had exercise class this morning for the first time in a week. So, I'll start with last Friday. Friday, 12 January - Weight - 203.3. Exercise: Bike - 10 Miles, 44 minutes. Foot cycle - 45 Minutes. Total time: 89 Minutes. Calories burned 990. Walking - 38 minutes. Calories burned: 109. Total calories burned: 1099. Calorie budget: 2804. Calories consumed: 1475. Steps: 13,554. Saturday, 13 January - Weight - 202.8. Exercise: Walking - 47 minutes. Calories burned: 134. Foot cycle - 45 minutes. Calories burned: 500. Total calories burned: 634. Calorie budget: 2339. Calories consumed: 1404. Steps: 8643. Sunday, 14 January - Weight - 204. Exercise: Foot cycle - 61 minutes. Calories burned: 678. Walking - 16 minutes. Calories burned: 46. Total calories burned: 724*. Calorie budget: 2429. Calories consumed: 453. Steps: 8687. *I had an upset stomach so didn't eat much. Monday, 15 January - Weight - 202.4. Exercise: Walking - 67 minutes. Calories burned: 192. Foot cycle - 47 minutes. Calories burned: 523. Total calories burned: 715. Calorie budget: 2420. Calories consumed: 1521. Steps: 13,323. Tuesday, 16 January - Weight - 203.9. Exercise: Walking - 59 minutes. Calories burned: 169. Foot cycle - 47 minutes. Calories burned: 523. Total calories burned: 692. Calorie budget: 2397. Calories consumed: 1414. Steps: 12,135. Wednesday, 17 January - Weight - 203.4. Exercise: Walking - 42 minutes. Calories burned: 120. Foot cycle - 44 minutes: 489. Total calories burned: 609. Sounds like you are doing good though, and hope next week the scale will be more kind. I have failed with my diet plan, I think I just need to go all in with low carb in February. I just let myself eat whatever when I diet this way.

@just4him It is okay, I just was still allowing carbs which doesn't work because I want to eat all of the things I shouldn't. Hoping in February I can go back on low carb and do okay...but hard to say

@JudyEv I was in the 125-135 range until I went to college. It was perfect. I'm trying to get back to that. Though because I'm also shorter, I need to be a little less than 125.

@just4him I have this belief that people seem to have a weight that is 'them' and getting below it can be really difficult.

I'll admit I've lost track of my weight. However, I'm pleased to report George is doing well. While we don't have an exact weight goal, we're pleased to report he's gaining weight. While that sounds odd, George lost a good twenty pounds during his two-month hospitalization. He was already underweight, working on gaining before the stroke. So, I'm happy to see his tube feeds are making a difference. Now to work on oral intake.

@just4him Yes. I'm struggling to get three tube feeds in a day, while fighting him to eat a little bit of food. I'm not even going to push for a fourth tube feed. Not going to happen. At least he's drinking liquids, and he poured himself some fresh pepsi.

Next week you'll see a drop on the scale. Some weeks are just harder to see the scale move. Overalll it looks good and you're making progress

@just4him once again I started on a health and weight loss journey for this new year. You're health reports are inspiring and I have to learn that it's not going to happen overnight and it's a process.

I do not have a great scale, so do not keep track. My one thing I check a lot is blood sugar and it has been high lately. The cold really slows me down. You are doing so well. Keep it up.

I'm glad you are making progress. I haven't tried to lose overall weight but I tried losing belly fat. I did some tummy exercises since Wednesday but the tummy still looks a little big.
