29 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today is Monday, which means tomorrow is Tuesday and the day they come to take my car away. I'm excited! I called my son this morning to remind him I need his extra key for the car. Good afternoon from Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. According to my computer it's 37 F. The expected high is 38 F so, we're on track. It also means more snow is melting. It's been a good day with a few things to be thankful for. I'm thankful I got eight hours of sleep last night and a half-hour nap earlier. I don't know why I'm taking a nap every day, but hey, I love them, so it's okay. I'm thankful for the walk I took to the office today. I let the manager know the car is leaving tomorrow, so she can make a note in the records. I also did a walk through of each floor of the building. I've never done that before. They have a puzzle room too. There were three finished puzzles sitting on the sideboard and I met a lady working on one that is quite involved and will take a while to put together. She's the sister of a wonderful woman in this building. She also likes to play Canasta and was headed for her game as I was leaving. I wanted to see the decorations in that building since my friend who decorates this building, does all the buildings. She did a marvelous job of decorating there too. I'm thankful for the research I did for Wilderness Cry. I have a few ideas on how to proceed with the novel. I put an insert in the book for my thoughts on it for the next time I open it up. In the meantime, I'll continue work on Wilderness Call. I'm thankful I ran the dishwasher. It's always good to have a clean kitchen and dishes. Shhh, my other self doesn't know how I feel about that. Every day I get better at cleaning. I do a fair job. My apartment always looks neat, but I don't always have the dishes or the kitchen cleaned up. Now, I wonder how long it will be before I make my bed every day. Okay, that's my day. It's been good. I didn't do any writing, but it did do research. It's all part of the writing process.
