Prayers for our son

Our son Robert has been sick for about two weeks now or more.
He went to his doctor recently because he was sleeping 12 and 13 hours a day. No other big symptoms of anything and all his blood work and tests for Covid, etc were negative.
He managed to work, then went to bed when he got home.
He thought he was a little better, not sleeping quite so many hours, but it's bad again. He said it's like a slight cold, but is so fatigued he can barely function.
We're really concerned about him. I wondered if it's long Covid...Dale had that twice. But Robert's doctor didn't seem to think it's that.
I know he's a grown man, but he's still my baby boy. He never remarried after he divorced his second wife (that was when Nathan was eleven and after Robert's first wife, Nathan's mom died, when Nathan was a baby.)
I wish Robert had a good wife to share life with, especially during times like this.
Please ask God to heal him completely. I know he would appreciate it and you know I sure do, too.

I know firsthand just how heartbreaking it can be to see a son or daughter really ill. I am ending my second year of trying to help advocate for my son's illness, it can be very difficult. Do not hesitate to reach out and try to find another doctor, not all doctors know everything, no one does. Hugs and prayers, Vicki.

@1creekgirl I got him out of the hospital yesterday morning, he seems perkier for now. He is in good spirits...just wish it was good health, too! Thanks so much for asking about him.

That is so true. Robert and Nathan live fairly close...I wish she and her family lived closer (Charleston SC.)

@1creekgirl Sadly not.
Our daughter-in-law took to getting sick this afternoon, and my hubby went to bed at 6pm as he wasn't feeling well.
I am not affected by that virus as of yet, but I am still living with the Christmas bug with the sinus drip, head cold and cough thing-that is exhausting me.
Every day is another day that I have had it and I have to believe that I will be finished with it soon.

I am so sorry to hear that Robert is still not feeling well. Sending prayers. I would seriously have him see another doctor. How are you feeling? You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

That really means a lot to me, Linda.
I went to my primary care doctor today. I'm having a lot of pain in my back and hips and I wasn't surprised to know it's arthritis.
He told me a while back I have an awful lot of it and having a slightly crooked spine doesn't help. He prescribed a prescription NSAID, so I hope that will help. The only good thing about arthritis is that it comes and goes.
How are you and your husband?

@1creekgirl Hubby's in a lot of pain. I wouldn't be surprised if he needs two knees and two hips replaced. He refuses to go see someone about it. I have spinal stenosis and scoliosis and arthritis throughout my body too. That's why I have so much trouble walking and standing. You're right about the pain coming and going. Most days it's bearable, even in the knee that needs to be replaced. Sorry to go on like this. Thank you for asking! Have a good day.

Get his heart checked Vicki and lung function..that was what is up with my son when he could not stay awake. Also toxins from this apartment poisoning him. Hope your son will be well.

@1creekgirl I've only just thought of it but my niece had something like this when she was in her final year at school. She was sleeping most of the day every day. I think in the end it cleared itself up. I must ask her Dad one day how it all turned out. She didn't get the marks she'd hoped for but became a civil engineer instead of a doctor so it didn't cripple her career path completely.

@1creekgirl Yes, when it's too cold our body becomes lethargic and aches and pains increases and makes us feel weak.

I just talked to him and he feels right much better. He still slept 10 hours last night, but better than 12 or 13!

@1creekgirl He's improved quite a lot. He's adopted some annoying habits, like putting his peg tube in his underwear or leaving said underwear by the couch or other places.

I am so sorry he is sick and they do not know what is wrong with him. I hate when that happens and they cannot figure out what is causing it. Maybe one day he will meet the right woman. I was married once and never remarried. I had animals instead and can get up when I want and go out when want and stay at home if want to. I never want to get married again but hope they will find out what is wrong with him.
