Public lecture.

Nairobi, Kenya
February 9, 2024 8:10am CST
We had a two day public lecture in town at Nairobi Cinema. Thursday and today. The main speaker was Rev Yohan Kim from south Korea. The lecture was about mindset change through the wisdom of God. The program has many sponsers including public universities. They gave us free lunch on Thursday and today after the first 2 hours session. I got to learn about this event through the IYFkenya Facebook group. (International youth fellowship.IYF). I found out they have season 5 intake for weekend academy that will start from February 17th to may 2024 and so I applied for french classes. I will be starting my french classes next weekend and graduate in May. What a wonderful opportunity! I hope you have a nice day.

Wow! I would have been a renewed person for the better listening to such life-changing lectures. I'm so excited and happy with you about God's path for you with IYF. My son and daughter have enrolled to a Bible College, Youth Alive, they now call it (there are many different others such as ACTS, YWAM... ) This is a very good thing...

@mildredtabitha That sounds like a great lesson. Often people that do well or get good opportunities don't have more talent than anyone else, but they are determined to get what they want and keep going until they do! So you should as well!!

@Fleura you are right! I've made that my goal for 2024. To seize every opportunity starting with joining the weekend french class then I'll know what to do next.

Yes it has. I was reminded to not give up. Giving up is one of my weakness especially when I don't feel supported by people around me. But the public lecture has motivated me to always show up and take every opportunity I'm presented with.

Yes I did. We had some few very successful people speak to us. They did encourage us to grab every opportunity that is available.
