This was a wonderful Sunday. Dale preached at a church in our neighborhood this morning. I sang a special called One Out of Ten. It's a really old song....have you heard it? For dinner, we fried some fresh shrimp and cornbread, stewed potatoes, and had coleslaw that I made yesterday. It was so warm and beautiful yesterday, but it started raining just as we were leaving church. I have a six month follow up tomorrow with my breast cancer surgeon. The last mammogram I had in August showed no sign of cancer. I praise God for his mercy and love! No mammogram until next August, but maybe the surgeon will take out this port in my chest that's been used for chemo and blood draws. How was your Sunday? May God bless each one of you.

I knew exactly what song you were talking about when you referenced, “One of Ten”. That’s a great great song. And I know the odds of you coming to Oklahoma are slim, but oh, I would love to attend a church service together. We seem to be really blessed by the same music, and I would imagine, the same kind of sermons. My dad came over to my apartment after church today, and that was a blessing. I wasn’t feeling well at all, and he cheered me up some. Right now, I’m just lying down watching the Super Bowl. Did they say why they kept the port in? I’m sure you are ready for all remnants of such a hard time to be completely gone for good. I’m so glad you had such a blessed Sunday.

@1creekgirl Thank you for the prayer, Vicki, I appreciate it. I’m so glad you’re better. I didn’t even know about your diagnosis for months because I hadn’t been on Mylot for quite awhile. Your story about how it all unfolded was incredible.

I've never heard One Out of Ten. I hope your appointment goes well today. My Sunday was OK. I watched some of the exciting Super Bowl game. Have a good week.

This song is really old, but it went well with Dale's sermon. How's your hubby? I might have missed one of your posts, but I pray he'll be in a good rehab.

@1creekgirl Haven't been able to talk to him. His phone doesn't work properly. Spoke to the nurse yesterday and asked her to get him some Boost or Ensure. He needs to eat something to keep up his strength. Nothing on rehab yet. They either won't take someone with hospital delirium, they don't take our insurance or the beds are full.

@LindaOHio That's so frustrating, for sure. I hope someone will get some Ensure or Boost shakes for him.

I hope that your doctor appointment will go well and there will be no sign of cancer. It rained here all Sunday morning. We went out for a while in the afternoon, but the air was cold.

I have not heard of that one. My band is working on an old (I think) gospel tune called Walkin' in Jerusalem (Just Like John). We're doing it a capella. I love singing harmony.

The song I sang is old, also. It's about the ten lepers in the Bible and how Jesus healed their disease. I don't know if I've heard the song Walking in Jerusalem.

@1creekgirl I have no idea about its origins. I'll try to find the version that inspired me.

Thank you for sharing your time during today's Sabbath. It's so delightful and inspiring. I am praising God with you about His gracious healing of you last August check- up. May tomorrow's six-month surgeon's review (checkup) be very good, as well. Family went to church today. I stayed home, in bed. Did a few gentle self physio leg and hip exercises, and walking while listening to praise music by Joshua Aaron. I will have a look at One out of Ten on Ytube. Thank you. Blessings to you and family.

@1creekgirl It’s proximal hamstring tendinopathy. Injured my hamstrings and tendon affecting the sciatic nerve. So sciatica pain when standing, sitting is impossible and lying down on my back is very uncomfortable. I need your prayers, please. Thank you so much God bless you.

Thank you..Best of luck at the surgeon today. I think everyone is cautiously optimistic. I bet you would love to get that port out.

Found out today I can get it taken out March 6. I hoped the surgeon could take it out in his office, but it has to be done at a surgical center and I have to be sedated.
