Have You Experienced This

Hi dear friends. I hope that this finds you all doing well. Mike and I are good. We are having a problem with PayPal though. So here is what is going on. About 3 weeks ago or so Mike got paid from a survey company, a little more than he normally does, and when the payment went to PayPal, they froze our account partially. Meaning we can log into it and that is about it. We can't use the money we have in there nor can we have any money added, like from here if I make the payout at the end of the month. They asked us a bunch of questions so they can make sure that we are not selling anything, which is what they thought that payment from the survey company was. Funny thing is he has gotten payments from that place for a good number of years, but this time they flagged it. We sent them copies of the emails of him receiving the payment from them like they asked, and they told us it would be 2 business days before they'd let us know what their decision is about the payment. Thats been almost 2 weeks ago, plenty of time for their 2 business days to get it done. Mike has contacted them again asking about the account and it said that they would be looking into it and get back to us as soon as possible and that has been 4-5 days. My question is this, if you have a PayPal account has something like this happened to you before? How long did it take to be resolved? I really would like them to get our account resolved because I am close to making payout here and would like to have the money added without incident. I should have added this in here, the amount he got flagged for was $10.00 from the survey site. Not an exorbitant amount at all. Normally he gets $3.00-5.00 from them, and yes, he has received 2 payments in a month from them before. The account is in his name only. I used his email address to get my payments from here added into the account.

@Dena91 I didn't need to do anything specific. Of course they could have changed the rules by now.

Do you have to have a business, prove that it is a legal business to have a business account? We mainly use it to have money from sites like here to deposit into. We save the money and buy something we need or want when we have enough.

That is ridiculous. There is one Mylotter whose account was frozen for several months, and it took her forever for it to get worked out. I think her account might have been hacked though. This is ridiculous for ten measly dollars. Can he make a big ruckus about it on Facebook? Assuming he has a Facebook account?

He doesn't use Facebook. Our account hasn't been hacked, as far as we know. He changed passwords on accounts. If would ever sell anything it wouldn't go through any sites like PayPal, it's be in person. We're rolling in the money doing surveys for $10

If you're lucky it'll be resolved soon but if the amount is huge it might take longer because they need to verify that it is a legit payment, they aren't the brightest bunch on the net that's a fact.

The payment was for $10.00. Normally from that survey site he makes $3.00-5.00, so no not a huge amount.

I had my account frozen for a payment once. Got a “snail mail” letter about it. They were not happy when I got on the phone.

He got an email about it. They won't be happy if he has to talk with them. He was already aggravated when he contacted them and got that reply of looking into his account shortly.

I have been lucky not to have any problems. That can be frustrating and I wonder how it happened, I have my money from survey sites always going through PayPal. What I don't understand in your situation is that when I get payments from survey sites their company names are on there so they can be identified as such sites so why are they giving you all this trouble? Something is not right somewhere and I think PayPal has made the mistake,

I have never experienced an issue with PayPal over the many years I have used it. Granted, mine is a business account and might work a little differently. But this has never happened to me.

I've had no issues using papal thus far. All banks will flag you, if you send or receive too much money to often. You're not supposed to share an account, either. So, that could be part of it.

The amount he got was $10.00. Normally he gets between $3.00 and $5.00, so it wasn't an exorbitant amount. That is what has us confused. The account is in his name only. I used his email address so that the payment from here can go into the account. There's never been an issue of me getting mylot payments into that account, when I make payout.

@Dena91 Mylot just sends payments to the e-mail. They don't verify who's name is on the account. As for the issue, the site in which he's earned the payout, could've been flagged by someone as spam. Therefore, paypal is suspending accounts who've received payout from the site, until the matter is resolved. He should consult the site's help section, to make them aware of his issue.

I never had something like that happening. I have a business account, I do not even know why they opened a business account for me. They changed their rules so many times.

Normally, a frozen account takes six months for it to be unfrozen. This has never happened to me but I read it somewhere in PayPal. From your explanation, it seems like you were chatting with a bot and that is why it took more than two weeks and still no help. Maybe you should try and call PayPal international landline and complain. It will be better if you addressed the problem to customer care.
