Dr. Frank Enstein spent years becoming a sought-after cosmetic surgeon, and not for the same reason as others in his field. For him, it wasn't about t*ts and it certainly had nothing to do with a$$. His motives were deeper, purer; something only someone with a similar tragic past would understand. Putting up with long lines of superficial women demanding exuberant change to perfectly fine bodies was a means to an end, and finally it was all paying off. An assignment with a new burn unit at Eastport General Hospital was the job he wanted - a place where he could really make a difference. When a busty barmaid tries to start up a conversation, she threatens to drag him back into the practice he left behind. No matter how attractive she is, that could never happen. Taking a step backward isn't part of the plan, but perhaps it should be. ~~~~ Dr. Enstein's mother received severe burns as a result of a fire, which is why Dr. Enstein wanted to work for the burn unit. He is all business and not interested in making friends at the hospital. The busty barmaid, Barbara, has severe back pain due to her large chest. She goes to Dr. Enstein but he can't help her the way she wants, but he can refer her to a friend who owes him a favour. He'll do the surgery for free. In the meantime a spicy relationship develops between Dr. Enstein and Barbara. This was a short, spicy read. It served its purpose when I was trying to read some quick books before February 18th, but it wasn't my favour read. It was too short. It could have used some character development and even description. When I think of busty Barbara I think of a short, thick older woman. No description was given of her other than her large chest. As for Dr. Enstein, his picture is on the front so that's the description I have to go by. I received this book at an author event. It was a blind-date-with-a-book pick. If you don't know what that means - all the books were wrapped in brown paper with a few words describing the type of book within. Pick which book you think you'd like. Unfortunately, I really didn't like this one. It needed more story.

What a great idea - a blind date with a book. I've never heard of that before. It's just a pity it didn't appeal to you a bit more.

There are actually people on Etsy (and probably other sites) who sell blind date with a book. It's not a new thing. Others do them as giveaways. I don't like taking chances like this in case I get something like this one, which I wouldn't have picked if I had seen the actual cover and blurb. There's also a thing where people will wrap up some books on their TBR shelf in, say, October, and once or twice a month the following year they will pick a book out to read not knowing what they are getting because one would think they would have forgotten what they wrapped up. Some put little hints with them so they can try and guess which book it is.
