My cousin and I were talking and she is like me. She has never had a traffic ticket. She has never been involved in an accident. I was surprised and neither one of our husbands have ever had a traffic ticket or been involved with an accident. Our car was hit last year when it was parked and the women that hit it did not want to give us insurance information. We involved the police and they got her insurance for us. Than she calls us up and yells at us because we wanted our car fixed. I hope her insurance told her off. It sounds like that was the second time she had hit a car. Our insurance company said she was young in her 20's and made it sound like that was a good excuse. At least we got the car fixed by her insurance company. Even her Mother thought we were the bad ones by not leaving the big dent in our car. I hope I never have to go through that again.

Didn’t she work in a recruiter’s office, or something to do with the military? Maybe I’m remembering the details incorrectly, but I remember you talking about it on Mylot since it ticked me off so badly. I cannot stand people like that.

@jstory07 I really hope they chastised her. What she did was shameful.

@AmbiePam The mother was as bad as the daughter thinking we just wanted money. We got no money just our car fixed. Which costed us in away. We were told to bring the rental car back on full.

Some people are just so rude and inconsiderate. I'm glad you went ahead and got the car fixed.

Her Mother's insurance company paid for it after my insurance company tracked her down.

Things like that are such a pain..I have a disgusting story kind of like that, but I don't feel like talking about it. When friend got hit from behind..the guy that did it skipped town. I think his insurance company finally paid though.

Our insurance company told us not to talk to them anymore that their insurance company was going to pay for everything.

We had our insurance company go after her Mother's insurance company. Than they fixed the car.

Well, some people are just weird, she caused a damage and you had to keep the dent to please her!!! Unbelievable. My husband never had an accident, but he had a traffic ticked in your country, he thought the speed limit was 65 mph it was 60.

Wow, it's great to hear that you and your cousin have a clean driving record – that's quite an accomplishment! I'm sorry to hear about the incident with your parked car, though. Dealing with an accident, especially when the other party isn't cooperative, can be really stressful. It's commendable that you stood your ground and involved the police to ensure everything was sorted out properly. It's interesting how perceptions can differ, with even her own mother having a different perspective. Hopefully, that's a one-time experience for you, and you won't have to go through anything like that again. Wishing you smooth and trouble-free journeys ahead!

The Mother told her we should not worry about a small dent. That dent was $1800 and it was near the door which would have got harder and harder to open the door. I am not going to drive a car like that. Plus they had to pay for a rental car for us. It was all on the Mother's insurance.

What nasty people! If you cause damage you have to face the consequences. A colleague here and her husband recently had both their cars written off and their garden wall knocked down by some woman, apparently she was a care worker coming off shift and she may have fallen asleep, she was in shock!

That's crazy at it's finest as they would say, we live on some back roads to get to town like 10 miles away & we just about got ran off the road, people these days don't think about other people on the road & its getting worse everyday I hate to say.

Yes it is getting worse. People here do not stop at stop signs and figure it is just one block so they go up streets the wrong way.

What is strange is that, the company wanted to be done away with, because of her age. Is her father a big shot?
