I just finished my regular jar of mayo and have some veganaise in the cupboard now. I hope I don't hate it. I rather en joy eggs in my Mayo. If I don't like it I can give it to a woman in the writing group. She is vegan. I am having tuna salad now and trying to imagine it without the eggy flavor.

I hope it will be okay without the eggs. At least you have someone who will use it. I never heard of it.

I work in a kitchen and we use normal and vegan mayo. Normal mayo tastes like mayo surprisingly enoughthe vegan mayo tastes awful in my opinion. It is really lemony/chemically tasting and has mainly palm oil...absolutely horrible. It's a famous chain place in the UK and we aren't known for vegan stuff but we do get a lot of vegan customers

I am going to look at the ingredients. It says it has Canola oil, modified food starch,(potato corn) distilled vinegar and a few other items less than 2 percent sugar and lemon It also contains paprika..It is cholesterol free which is a plus.

@snowy22315 I expect there will be lots of vegan mayo with each having their own ingredients. Maybe yours will taste ok. In previous kitchens we've had vegan products and I didn't like any apart from one...the brioche style bun we use in my current kitchen is pretty nice...somewhat ironic but I had a bacon roll with normal bacon(meat) we serve with the brioche style bun and it was genuinely the best ever bacon roll I've had We've got a vegan tart with grilled veg and fake cheese that is not bad but I don't like the pastry...I could be a vegetarian but not a vegan...vegan stuff is often very processed and nasty tasting in my opinion.

@Mike197602 I like the vegan cookies they have at Whole foods. I did have a horrible vegan cake that somebody made not long ago though.. However, I have also had good ones.

It doesn’t sound too good, but hey, you never know.

I almost want to taste it..but I won't open it untill I get ready to use it. I bet if you use it in deviled eggs, you won't notice a difference. I have even subbed plain yogurt for mayo in recipes..is OK generally.

Maybe just give it away and save yourself a potentially unsatisfactory culinary experience!!
