The Northern Lights Are Coming

Due to holes in the magnetic field of Earth, more frequent aurora borealis or northern lights displays could be seen this month. You could see the northern lights as far south as Florida. Now, you mention northern lights and I have written about places where they could be seen I know that Florida did not come to mind. So this will be interesting and space weather forecasters expect March to be the best month in two decades to see them. The primary color is green but tinges of pink, purple, and red can also be seen. Free image of northern lights More information and the best places to see them:

@Dena91 The only problem, to photograph them it's hard to get the colorful spectrum.

@RasmaSandra - The closest places in Europe to us to see Northern Lights would be Denmark or Scotland.

@RasmaSandra Yes. I saw them as a child. I was staying the night with my grandparents. Colors danced on the walls. My sister and I went outside to find many other people looking at the sky and the awesome northern lights. Though we didn't know what it was until the next day when the news told us what we saw. There have been many times in the past few years when we could see them again, but it's always been cloud covered or I was asleep at the time.

We once saw the aurora australis when we lived in the south-east of the state. You don't often see the southern lights in our state.

We have seen the northern lights in Michigan, at certain times of the year. And I believe the colors change, each time we view them.

@thelme55 I don't know if you can see them anywhere in Germany but I know you can see them in the Scandinavian countries. Just checked it out in case you would like to take a trip. This is what is says online Germany is a reasonable European destination to see the northern lights1. The best place to see the northern lights in Germany is Ostrügen, which is on the northeastern coast of Germany2. To see the northern lights, you’ll need a clear view of the northern sky to the horizon, and trees or mountains that block your view will make it hard to see the aurora since Germany is so far south1. The northern lights were seen in Germany in the early hours of the morning on Monday and Tuesday3.
