Barf on a Crisp

When it comes to pizza, you will never hear me ever utter the words, "Let's go to Chuck E. Cheese." Besides it being a virtual zoo of overexcited and unruly kids where normal restaurant decorum does not apply, the pizza is just awful. I mean, don't get me wrong. It's not the worst. But I do personally refer to it as "barf on a crisp." But it is a horror I must endure. After all, it's not for me, but for my niece's son who turned 4 yesterday but will have his celebration this afternoon. Happy birthday Geno. Uncle will take one for you today to help make your day special with the rest of the fam. As for my myLot friends, please wish me luck, both in enduring the kids as well as my barf on a crisp. I promise not to choke Chuck if he comes around and starts singing and dancing, although I make no guarantee the thought will not occur to me.

I'm afraid I could not endure a bunch of kids high on pizza. I hope you had a decent time.

@porwest I'm allergic to children. I never would have survived.

@LindaOHio I wish I were allergic to children. I'd have had an excuse to stay home.

We wound up sticking around there a bit after 6 and I have to admit my brain was fried by the time we finally got out of there. All that screaming, and in those high, frill pitched kid voices. It was a nightmare. lol

I wish you luck with that one. I don't really care for sub-par food. And, Pizza is one thing I would not be ordering.

I ate it just because it was there. But it was nothing to write home about. That's for sure. I guess the only consolation was, it was free. lol

It was like a glorified frozen pizza run through a vat of grease if that says anything. lol

@NJChicaa It wasn't THAT bad. I mean, it wasn't good, but it wasn't like it was inedible.

I have never been to one, never wanted to. My kids never asked to go. I do not think either of them ever went to a party there. I have been similar, I think, but it has been ages. Now I am craving some "good" pizza.

I remember always liking it when I was a kid. It was a very differen place back then. But the pizza was still crappy, although as a kid I am sure I enjoyed it.

It’s funny what perspective does to a person; as a child, the pizza was delicious! As an adult taking her niece, it is dreadful. Excitement covers a multitude of culinary sins.

I don't know, I can't think of any place that has worse pizza than Chuck E. Cheese. That place is awful. I'm really thankful that the one we had here in my city closed down years ago. Good bye and good riddance!

When my younger son was little, Chucky Cheese was sort of a new thing to do. He wanted to go there, so we took him for his birthday. His comment afterward, at age 7, was that was the worst pizza I ever had, let's not ever go back there, Mom... I wish you luck. Hope you have some headache meds in your pocket!
