A man from New Mexico recently died of the bubonic plague. Health officials are concerned that the rodent-borne disease may pose a severe risk in the area. This comes just a month after the death of an Oregon man that was infected by their cat. Bubonic plague is spread by the bite of an infected flea from a rodent, wildlife or pets.

**1** day until spring; however, Mother Nature is delivering some of the coldest weather over the next week. The following week it will be in the 50s and 60s.
Breakfast - PB&J sandwich
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Salisbury steak, beets (yuck), green beans

Dinner - Protein bars

I hope that this plague stays in control and doesn't spread. At least now there is treatment with all medical advancements.
Your meal sounds good. I had a late lunch of egg curry, ridge gourd fry, chapati and salad with cucumber, radish, carrot and cherry tomatoes. I was busy with work and had my lunch just now. It's 2:30 afternoon here.

@LindaOHio Thank you. It's last working week for our school. And for me, tomorrow is the last day and then I go for a two months long summer vacation. It's been a bit busy in the last few weeks.

It is so strange when we hear of these ancient diseases still making returns from time to time. But luckily it's not what it was.
For dinner my wife made a meatloaf and boy oh boy, was that DELICIOUS! We just had buttered kernel corn on the side. But this was a good one, that meatloaf. She changes it up a little bit each time, but nothing went wrong at all. I made a LOT of mmm noises when I ate it. lol

Can't believe Spring is a day away finally. Here it feels like spring, but not sure how long it will last, we got 50s and 60s this week.
Do you still eat the beets? The rest sounds good minus those and the green beans

It seems like winter is here again. Hopefully it won't last too long though. Yesterday, I had chicken and stuffing and fried pickles earlier in the day.

We had snow flurries yesterday to my surprise and delight.
I agree with you about beets. Otherwise, your meals look good.
Yesterday my calorie intake was more than normal. I enjoyed corned beef with potatoes and carrots. No cabbage. I also indulged in ice cream for dessert. I did an extra work out on the foot cycle to compensate for all those calories. I hope it worked or I will be working hard again to get my weight down. Hopefully, it's no more than water weight if it went up too much.
