Today's trip to the big Tesco.

We went to the big Tesco again this afternoon. I got rid of the soft plastic recycle again, then we went up on the lift. One of the lifts wasn't working, so there was only one lift to choose from. My Mum got some daffodils first. Then I went and got some art magazines. Then I got my water and prawn layered salads. Then I went to get some Nurofen lemon melts. I didn't think they had them at first, but then I found them on the bottom shelf. Then I got some MenoHerb for my menopause symptoms. After that I went and got a double pack of pads for my Mum. Then we went to the fruit and veg section. My Mum got some red grapes, and I got some blueberries, spring onions and a red pepper. I also got some strawberries, a lemon, a mushroom stir fry and some edamame beans. After that I went and got my yoghurts and two bottles of milk for my Mum. My Mum got her puddings for Sunday. Then I went to look for some sliced cheese, but all the sliced and grated cheese shelves were empty! I had to go back to tell my Mum. I said, I'm afraid you're out of luck! The shelves are empty! There were plenty of blocks of cheese, but no sliced or grated. Next we went to the vegan and ready meals isle and I got the usual things. My Mum got her own ready meals. Then I went and got my Mum some see food sauce. At the end of one of the isles we saw Pam and Paul Rowley who used to come to Church, so we were standing talking to them for a few minutes. After that I went and got some udon noodles. And then we went to the canned isle and got my step-dad some sardines and a can of spring vegetable soup. Then we went to the cake isle and my Mum got some meringue things for her and my step-dad for their supper tonight and another small sharing cake. Then my Mum got some sweetent. After that I went and got some Pringles. I got Smoky BBQ flavour for a change. And then we went to the teas and coffees isle and I got some Matcha T-bags and chamomile T-bags and I got some Typhoo T-bags for my Mum. I then got myself some sea salt flavoured Love, Corn. Next we went to the frozen isle and I got some vegan magnum ice lollies, raspberry flavour, and some peas for my Mum. Then we got some more chips in a box for my step-dad, and my Mum got some fish fingers. I got myself some more prawns. And guess what? The salmon things were still out of stock! While my Mum was still looking at the party food, I went and got some toilet paper, some latex gloves, some washing up liquid and some bird seed for my step-dad. He's not going to eat the bird seed you understand, he's going to give it to the birds! Then we went to pay. There were only two tills open. I think they might be trying to encourage people to use the self service area or something. But that's card only and we like to pay by cash. So we joined the end of the queue. Then someone opened a new till, and two of the people in front of us went over to that till. When we were packing away I insisted that my Mum helped to pack rather than just moved thing around! She reckons she didn't know which bag to put each thing in! Because we like to put all the frozen stuff in the same bag. I thought use your eyes and see where I put the frozen stuff, or put some frozen stuff in a bag and I'll put more frozen stuff in that bag! When my Mum was paying, I went and sat on a bench and waited for my Mum to join me. I still didn't have a book to swap at the Tesco book swap because it's taking me ages to get through this book! At 4:25pm we went down on the lift. My step-dad wasn't there when we got to the car park so we went and sat on a bench again. My step-dad arrived about 5 minutes later. When we got home we unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and put the recycle out ready for tomorrow when the recycle bin man comes. Frances came to pick my Mum up to go to the house group at about 6:45pm. My Mum wasn't ready, she was still drinking her cup of tea! Frances made sure she finished her cup of tea! Then she got some Easter Eggs together that she'd got for the kids of the couple that run the house group and an Easter card for the Mum and Dad, and off they went.
