Lemon cucumber water to keep me hydrated

The local weather bureau has declared that the dry season is officially here. We may call this season "summer" although we really only have two seasons here in my side of the tropics - the wet season and the dry season. We are currently here in our provincial home and will be staying here until Easter Sunday. It's hotter in here compared to our apartment in the city. I've prepared a jug of lemon cucumber water to keep me hydrated. There's air-conditioning downstairs but I prefer to be here upstairs where there are four large windows for ventilation. Later in the afternoon, we will drive to a mall for dinner. I'd like a nice coconut shake to go with my meal. What do you prefer to drink on super hot days? * Image by el_duderino123 from Pixabay

Is that a fact? Can hot weather help in losing weight? Wow. Where I live we only have two kinds of weather - hot and cold. It's either very hot and humid or wet and cold.

@psanasangma Perhaps it does contribute somewhat to losing weight because people do go to saunas to lose weight. So perhaps being in a hot weather do contribute to a bit of weight loss? But I suspect it's probably just water weight.

I usually drink sparkling water with a slice of lemon in it. This sounds good.

That is accurate. At lunchtime, I experienced lightheadedness and headaches, and I am WFH. My blood pressure and blood sugar levels were both within normal ranges. I turned on our air conditioning to cool things down after drinking a little and noticed that, surprisingly, things improved. Thus, I assume that today's weather had an impact on me.

Preventative measures are best. Before we go drive on a hot day, we drink Pocari Sweat or Gatorade. It seems to help us avoid heat exhaustion.

Other dried fruits can be added to cold water as well.

Water is the best drink on a hot day, I am trying to cut down on sugary drinks, because of the health risk associated with them

Water it is indeed. This lemon cucumber water doesn't have any sugar or sweetener. I like it as it is.

I wonder how lemon and cucumber water taste like. I've tried lemon water and I don't really like it. I prefer plain old water. If there should be some flavoring then I prefer it to be sweet.

@almostoveryou It has to be cold to make the water more delicious. The tip about removing the lemon seeds is very useful. I didn't know that. Should try doing that if I ever want to drink lemon water. Is it better to make it cold in the fridge or to put ice in the water to make it cold? Is there a difference, you think?

It can taste bitter if lemon seeds aren't removed, so I make sure to remove them first before putting in the lemon slices. Some people add honey or sugar to lemon water. I like mine plain but really cold.

@UmiNoor I like to make it cold in the fridge first and then drink it from a glass with ice cubes. Another way is to make it in a jug with both cold water and ice cubes. Oh so refreshing! I refill the water only once or twice and then throw the lemon and cucumber slices when all the liquid is consumed. It tastes really bad on the third refill.
