What is your opinion about new products?

A few years ago things were built to last. Yesterday I wanted to clean my electrical broom and it broke. It is still in warranty and I didn't force it. Everything new seems to have poor quality. The electrical broom is a German product and I expected it to be better. Did you have problems with new things? I am worried that they won't last. And they are costly. My mom has a kitchen appliance and she had it for 20 years. It still works. Now they don't make products to last so long. The electrical broom was a premium product.

@dya80dya Agree.I prefer not to buy any new product unless and until I don't have a good feedback about it.You can't trust them.

I am sure that all new products are far worse than the old ones. I have old kitchen gadgets that have lasted for many decades. In fact, I have given lately most of my big pots. I received them when I got married, over 60 years ago. My Oster blender is over 35 years old. But it was really German. Now every German brand (if you look underneath) is made in "the people´s Republic of China". I acquired my over the counter electric oven from my mother. She wanted to give it away as she wanted a new one. I acepted it. That happened over 25 years ago. And there it is. I´m sorry that your electric broom froke. Even if it is in warranty, you´ll have to ask for replacement.

I have a kitchen gadget that is over 20 years old. It was made in Germany. I am sure they will blame me because I broke the broom. But I just wanted to clean it. It still works. I will send the company a message.

Yes, older products tend to be the best products.

Now they only care about money, not quality.

That might be why the bulk of my sewing and quilting is done on my treadle sewing machine that was new back in 1951. (Before I was even a twinkle in my daddies eye e.)

Nowadays there are many fake products. I'm sorry your broom broke. I hope your warranty will help you get a replacement at a small fee.

I prefer products whose quality I know, new products of course they want to compete with well-known products but if there is a product error it will cause problems in the future.
