Interesting survey I took this morning

In my spare time (which I have too much of)..I do surveys. My favorite is YouGov surveys..some of their surveys I get points, and like MyLot, once you achieve a certain amount you can turn them in for gift cards. I use mine on Amazon. But daily they have what they call Chat surveys. They ask you questions about what you think about different things like today was Can You Be Happy Without Success. You don't get points for the chats. But the survey got me to thinking...what is success? Is it having money, power, popularity...At this time in my life...success is waking up, walking, being able to take care of myself, and enjoying the day. I guess whatever I do in between would be goals..but once I reach a goal...I consider that success...So I found the survey kind of a One Size Fits All, and I just don't think you can put success in that category. What do YOU think? Is success one goal achieved or is it the final goal achieved? IS their an end to achieving success?

My view of success is going on social media to enlighten the lives of people who need help.

Success is subjective. Each person measures it differently. Getting healthier and back to normal has many bumps and such along the way. so each time you get to feel normal, can be a measure of success. It's hard to group it because of perceptiion.

At this point in my life, if I can be happy with all I’ve gone through, I consider myself successful. Am I making the world a better place? I think so, and I think that is the success topper.

I think the same. Reaching a goal means success. However, some therapists say that this way of thinking is not healthy. Sometimes we don't have success even if we try a lot.

surveys makes us think too much. i also feel it is a success to be still living in my country which doesn't progress much and me trying not be so negative.

I think success depends on your personal definition of it. It is different for different people.

I think success is when you have come to the end of the day and everything went perfect.

Success is different for everyone. I think I am successful in some ways (choices I made--stop drinking, having a wonderful marriage coming from a very dysfunctional home) but not so much in others (money, power, popularity). In the areas which I am successful mean more to me than the ones I am not.

@Ghostlady It is up to everyone of us to figure out what we feel success is for us. I am looking for surveys to do here in English and hard to find.

I think that everyone's idea of success is different. It can be on a personal level or it can include such things as your job, etc. Have a good weekend.

Success for me is being able to do what I set myself to do, no matter what task it is, no matter how small or simple as long as in the end I am happy about it and feels fulfilled, that for me is already a success. While it is good to celebrate big wins, small wins gives me a sense of accomplishment and joy too! The meaning of success varies from one individual to another. It is defined by what truly matters in their lives and their unique aspirations.
