How do you waste your time during the day or night?

It may sound weird, but I waste my time when cooking, doing laundry, washing the dishes, and so on. I do these things at random, though. I am taking these things as the bright side of wasting my time daily. It was a way of making the most of my time. Does it make sense? How about you, guys? Image Credit: encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com

I don't consider house chores as wasting time. They are things that need doing. While not the most fun, it's being constructive and productive. Adulting as it were.

This is what I am implying to my Chinese students, who are young learners. They keep on escaping household chores by being busy with their homework. Even university students do not know things like this. I felt weird for them not to be trained by their biological parents.

In order to not waste time doing these chores you'd have to pay someone else, wouldn't you? So you're actually saving money and a penny saved is a penny earned! I wish I wasted time like you do, I usually stay in bed for too long because I have a hard time getting up.

I hope you are not feeling under the weather. I agree that it is impractical for a stay-at-home housekeeper to do these things. Besides, it is a waste of money if I consider this option.

The principle speaks for itself. I wasted the time, but it became productive afterwards.

I do not want a dirty house so cleaning my house is a good thing to do. Not really a waste of my time.

I totally agree with you. I can imagine how my Chinese students keep on saying that it is a waste of time to do these things. I am referring to young learners. The common alibi is that they need to do their homework and not help with household chores.

I do not consider all those chores a "wasting time", those are necessary. Playing with the phone is wasting time.

It was the other way around. It is how I make myself productive.

@Shavkat I never consider that the time is wasted if we do something useful, including cleaning the house.

Indeed. It was not intended to waste the time. It is the opposite scenario.

Well it depends. If you had all these chores done by someone else, how would you spend your time? If it's a very productive part of the day then it 's really a waste of time I think.. I try to do all these hoseworks late night or when I wake up, however a little bit of time from each one in the family can make a big difference.

I agree. Once they are done, then it is not a waste of time.
