Making Progress: New Internet Service

Goodbye HughesNet!! We have replaced you with something better that costs even late and we don't have to put up with your throttling and cutting us back each and every month.
We have the new internet installed now and it is very nice. We got on the 5G plan although they told us 5G is not working in our area. Yet when the box was installed and we were all hooked up, it is showing 5G service.! I love it!
We have already canceled Dish since they cut off our box. Told us they can't send another box out; yet when hubby called to cancel the appointment for Tech to come out, they were trying everything to keep our business. They even said they could send another box out!! Really? Why couldn't you send one out the other day? No response.
Next step is switching our phones and that will complete our bundle. We are waiting for my cell phone to be unlocked now and then we can finish that and cancel current cell phone service.
As soon as I figure out where to move some furniture to to get this big old television set out of the living room, we will go get a new Smart TV.
Getting closer!!
Back to cleaning and moving stuff around!
What did you do today? Tackle any big projects? Relax?

The new TV is several days away as it will take a day to get the old one out, another day to go buy a new one and get it inside and all hooked up. First have to get our phones transferred. Waiting on the process there. The internet is done, so I will start making path to get the old TV out of here in the meantime.

Yes, it was time for an upgrade! We talked about getting a new TV some time ago but decided that we would just wait until this one went out. With the other changes, I think the new TV would be a better fit and also last for a long time...knock on wood!

Enjoy the new Internet. We had hughes at one time and hated them. We have been using hotspots since then. Still have high speed limits but the slow down is nothing compared to hughesnet. Heard spectrum is supposed to be going through our area but I haven't seen any sign of that yet. If they do we plan to switch

I am so glad for you guys! Hughes net is truly a last resort and not a good one at that. You'll feel like a new woman when all this is finished!

@rebelann Yes, and winter used to be over in late Feb. or early March- never went on into April down here in the South!! I remember going to school in September with a sweater and/or coat on and now it is 100 degrees in September. It is all shifting and changing.

The funny thing is that back in the 60s through the 80s March was usually our windiest month but all that changed in the 1990s. Of course I probably don't remember all of those years as well as I would like to think but I don't recall March being any worse than other months starting in the 1990s.

AWESOME 
we did do something that worked
out just as great, & that was we replaced the cover
on the portable car awning with another type covering today.
It was 1 I had bought to screen in the pond I'm doing at a
friends place for the pond I've been working on B-4 I got
sick & landed in the hosp for 6 mons & while I was in the
hosp God took out the 2 trees that I bought the pool cover
for & now we don't need it so I use it to put on the car awning
it's a screen type cover for shade, being the trees we had
have been taken down & that's another godsend. Amen
