Do You Believe There are Just Too Many People in the World?

I don't. What I mean by that is there are plenty of open and empty spaces that people could abide in right? Surely there is enough land for everyone. It seems people are concentrated in certain areas of the world and are not spread out or are forbidden access to many of nature's lands. Laws regulate. Do you think if people spread out a bit more, there would be more resources for everyone?

It's not about how much land is available, it's about whether there are enough resources to feed all of us, humanity is destroying itself.

Well I bet there would be more food if people were allowed to farm those lands. You know go back to the native ways. The old ways. What? And there is enough food now, it is just not evenly distributed..I mean who needs bags and bags of Cheetos and piles of hamburgers and pizza? See what I mean?

Nope, that wouldn't solve anything, back in the old days men would hunt for meat while the women folk would have small gardens but what could they possibly hunt if they kill everything?

@rebelann Well it'd be better than we have now. People stuffing their faces with chemically laden trash. Sure there would be hardship, there is now, as you say you are poverty stricken.

If we spread out more, there would be even more environmental destruction to our earth, as more forests and tress are destroyed to make room for houses. Having the population concentrated into large cities is not necessarily a bad thing for our planet. However, to answer your question, yes I think there are too many people in the world. In fact, going back decades ago, I was alarmed that there were too many people in the world when the earth's population hit 5 billion people. And now we're approaching 8 billion people.

Yes humans destroy the earth by living in it, I agree. But where else are we supposed to live?

@RebeccasFarm We need to quit having so many babies, and find a way to level off and stabilize the world population. Protecting earth's natural resources won't matter if we don't find a way to curb out of control population growth.

I do and have for many years. I think that if kids were brought up better I might not feel this way. But, so many nasty mouths, ill-bred, and ignorant young people roaming around really get my goat. Well-mannered ones with fresh and interesting ideas are refreshing and nice to be around.

I do think over population is an issue. All of our basic needs requires using up resources . . . and sadly, humans overuse and waste resources, the greedy beings we can be. There could be space, but we'd invade the territories of animals, forests, etc (we already are). Maybe it'd be doable if everyone could live off the land and be able to sustain minimally, but that doesn't seem to be enough for most humans.

@RebeccasFarm Yes;I believe so.I remember the time when mine was a small town with a population of less than 10000.There was peace here.People did not quarrel with each other. There were much space;jungles and grass lands. Now all that is history. Now the population has gone up to 500000.

@RebeccasFarm Yes; people have migrated from neighboring states to have jobs in plants that have popped up in last few years.

Yes, I think that there are too many people in the world. When we visit a doctor we have to wait for hours, there are so many sick people. People are just continuing to have kids and suffer. I don't think there are enough resources for all people now.
