Out Of Nowhere!

Is there a memory whether good or bad from when you were a teenager or young adult that has kind of stuck in your mind? When l was 19 l had been dating a nice young man who was about 22 years old. Two months into the friendship we were having a small argument - nothing l considered serious - when out of nowehere the guy actually slapped me in the face. I couldn't believe it, that was the biggest surprise of my life back then. Needless to say, that was the end of our relationship. No amount of apologies could change my mind. Any good or bad shockers when you were young? Pixabay image.

Wow, that was certainly shocking. I wonder if it was also traumatic, sorry about that. I can't think of anything astounding right now. Maybe that time where I was walking in the countryside and I saw something that resembles a black plastic hose, on the road under the sun. As I got closer it fled so I realized it was a grass snake. I know these snakes are usually not dangerous, but it was my first encounter and thankfully it got scared before I could. I was a young adult I guess, 4 years ago.

It was a long time ago but it must have been traumatic at the time becsuse the slap resulted in a cut lip. I would hate having an encounter with a snake , even though l saw quite a few during my childhood.

Somebody I had met in college when we were both ushers at a theater event..and spent some quality time with..made a date for the next weekend. I got mad because he didn't show and called me hours later. I wouldn't see him again. After the summer had passed, an acquaintance of mine who knew him said he had been killed in a car crash over the summer..

@Kandae11 One never knows! Doubtful though because we were both in our home areas over the summer.

Nothing like that, but I would surely have done the same. No way that I let a man slap my face.
