On April 1st, I seldom do anything to create a prank. This year, I decided to leave a text message for Jay, my husband. I was hoping to get him on his toes. I said that I was locked up in the county jail and he needed to find me some bail money! Of course, he didn't check his messages until he got home:( I never considered this might happen. Rats! My April Fools Joke didn't work:) I was here when Jay got home,, as you had already figured out! Anyway, it was a fun try, at a little humor:) Photo: Mine

I wonder if it had worked, what would your hubby think you had done to land in jail?

Jay might have thought that I'd hit someone, with my Jeep:) In two minutes, he would have smelled a rat!

That was a good prank, maybe if you hid in the closet when he came back it could have worked.

@kobesbuddy you could have taken it a step further and hid when he came in and then popped out when he was unsure of what was happening,

When pranks hurt someone, the joke is never OK. Jay usually pranks me first!

Jay knows that I bend over backwards, to obey the law. He wouldn't have believe me, after two minutes!

No, Jay would be suspicious, the minute he read the message. I've never been in trouble, even one time.

Yes, we both got a good laugh out of it, anyway! I told the fella at Burger King, Elliott said, "Hey, Jay knew but he actually wanted to leave you in jail!"

A mild joke is always okay, some people take it to the extreme which sometimes can be harmful.

Yes, sometimes a joke causes injury to someone involved. This is never funny, of course.

Good picture. That kind of joke would not work with Bob. He does not know how to check texts and does not care to learn.
