A New Visitor, We Named her Cinderella

Right after Princess got established as the new kitty here, another cat showed up. It was solid white except for the Calico tail and ears, which told me she was a female. This kitty was very shy and hid most of the day under the house. She would come out and eat but scurry back under the house whenever we came outside.
After several days, she finally let me pet her and I discovered that she had been in a fight. She had a boo-boo beside her eye--hey we can be twins!! (Ha!) She also had a hunk taken out of her upper lip in the corner. It seemed to be healing well and she was eating okay. She had a collar on so I knew she was somebody's pet.
I finally got a photo of her and went to our area lost and found pets group on Facebook to post her. I didn't have to! The very first post was her owner who had put a post up saying her cat was lost. I contacted her and they had just left to go out of town. I told her we would be up late in case she wanted to stop by on their way home. They stopped and Cinderella and her mommy were reunited.
She had gone out of town and her boyfriend forgot to let the cat back in the house before going to bed. He said he fell asleep. Oh and her real name was Donna. Who would have thought?

Good for you getting kitty back to her owner.Sis used to have a cat who had an owner at one time..and was spayed.but had lived life on the streets for several years. Poor thing probably went from a loving home to mayhem.

@kareng My mom had one similar to that. She disappeared about a year after they passed

I'm glad she's back home. I'm glad you were able to help her get home, too. I hate that people think it's okay to let their cats roam free.

Yes, the owner's phone number was on the collar, however, she wasn't warmed up to me enough to get close to her for days. Happy ending though! I talked to her today and Donna is doing well. She did a lot of sleeping for the next two days after getting home. She was about a mile away from home.

@xstitcher Yes, she apparently came through the woods since she looked like she had been in a fight. I wonder what she tangled with?

Aww... I love happy endings for a lost cat. I'm glad the owner found her cat safe and sound. May there be more kind people like you out there.
