Hello guys! Its me again. Quite inspired to write something these past few days. So, let's talk about minimalism – you know, that whole less-is-more vibe. Have you ever considered giving it a try? or are you in it already? I mean, just imagine decluttering your space, simplifying your routine, and focusing on what truly matters. Sounds kinda refreshing, right? Sure, it might be a bit daunting at first. I mean, parting ways with stuff can be tough. But hey, less stuff means less stress, right? Plus, there's this whole environmental angle too. Less consumption, less waste – seems like a win-win. But then again, it's not for everyone. Some people thrive in a more maximalist environment, surrounded by all their treasures and whatnot. So, what's your take? Would you dip your toes into the minimalist pool, or are you happy with the cluttered chaos of life? Speaking from experience, I've been on this journey for a good while now. Yearly decluttering sessions and garage sales for preloved items have become routine. Plus, I've cut back on unnecessary purchases, saving both money and space. As for my home, it's pretty minimal when it comes to decor. But I love it that way. It's clean, it's simple, less work to maintain and it's a reflection of my intentional choices to live clutter-free. So yeah, for me, minimalism isn't just a trend. If you choose to go minimal – it's a way of life, a continuous choice and a journey to embark on.

being minimalist is also expensive, i feel. i already live in a small apartment and need everything there, even more but i can't afford it or rather, don't know where to place it. i guess this isn't for me.

Minimalism can sometimes feel like a luxury, especially when you're already living in a small space and need to make the most of what you have.

For a long time we have cut on unnecessary purchases. We have started decluttering one year ago. We donated a lot to charities, we still have things to donate. Once done that we will be fine and keep the rest. Complete minimalism is not for us.

Finding that balance between decluttering and keeping what's truly valuable to you is key.

It isn't the way I roll..I could happily pare down some of my "stuff" though.

Got it! It's all about finding what works best for you. Even just paring down a bit can make a big difference in feeling more organized and focused. You're making strides in the right direction!

Complete minimalism isn't for me, but since we're moving next year, I am trying to declutter and get rid of a lot of stuff I'm not using. I'm also careful not to buy things I don't need or won't use (enough). I do think about these things and try to buy more quality items than cheap junk.

That's a great plan! Moving is the perfect time to declutter. Quality over quantity is definitely a mantra worth following – investing in items that last longer serves you better in the long run.

We have been this way for many years now, at least mostly me in my household. I have very little. I enjoy this as my life demands I do not have a lot as we have to move a lot. It is less to carry.

That's good to hear. It is practical for someone who moves a lot to have less. Less stuff, less trouble, less stress.

I only have things that I need at home. I keep on decluttering at home what I don’t really need.
