He was one of those sports figures who only had to be referred to by his first "name", OJ. He passed away at the age of 76 after a battle with prostate cancer. I don't remember him as a football player but I do remember him in the Naked Gun movie and of course the double murders. I still remember watching the slow speed chase of the white Bronco and the day that he was acquitted of murder.

Wow, I wonder if he went straight to Hell, where he deserved to be? A friend of a friend knew him in college and said he was arrogant.

Could he recite poetry? Is that why he was arrogant?

I saw that. He sure had an "interesting" life. One of my softball teammates in Bloomington Indiana (in 1989) played defense for Indiana University in the 1967 Rose Bowl (when IU played USC). He said he "touched the hem of O.J .'s garment" as O.J. ran past him.

I think a lot of us remember that trail. I remember having to watch it in school. Kind of sad he's remembered most by a crime he may or may not have commited, then being in sports.

A highly popular figure. I do remember a bit of this case and his becoming infamous due to these. Yet not in a big detail. One would remember him with mixed feelings.
