Thursday Morning Brief

Good morning from cloudy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 52 F right now. It won't get much higher than that today.
Today being Thursday, I have Canasta at noon in the third floor lounge. Other than that I'll be here visiting you, working on a book. I'm planning on Wilderness Cry today. We'll see if I get writing done today. I'll also work on Faith to Believe. I need to get this first edit done so I can move it toward publication this year.
I already ran the dishwasher and played my games. I only need to get my steps. So, it will be a basically laid back day.

Has California improved on its water management?
Here, the Indian city of Bengaluru(earlier Bangalore) has been facing a critical water shortage.
Not a good omen!

Seems to be going fine. The scene reading group is tonight, but it is looking like it isgoing to be raining most of the day..not really feeling it anyway.

Is that a Pond in the picture?
The temperature at this place looks higher than 52 F.
Here the mercury is about to touch 40C.
So ACs and fans running for more time mean bigger Power Bills.
Yet countering extreme heat if vital too.
At times, I see Cricket and other players playing in such heat.
I wonder how they manage.
There are now sweat resistant vests for players but still it would be tough.
Good work looks in offing on your books!
Today was a Holiday.
I took some good rest in the morning.
Unluckily, I developed cold and fever. Yet what is more disturbing is some amount I lost in a risky trading.
I do not normally go for such risky ventures, yet somehow I got into it.
I have found that risky ventures are good for some, but somehow I have not been good at such things.
So slower progress but steadiness is what benefits me more.
Another hard lesson learnt on top of some more I have learnt in the past month or so.

No, it's not the pond. It's a place along the creek where it overflowed the banks.
I'm sorry it's so hot there. I'm also sorry you developed a fever and cold. I hope you get over it soon.
I'm sorry you lost in a risky venture.

Our housekeeper is picking up some groceries, a prescription and my usual lottery tickets for me today. I am hoping she has a little bit of time to search for some clothes for my husband, as he is out of pants. Have a good day.

Those kinds of days are nice. Hope it has been a good one so far. Can relax now here finally now that our inspection is done.

Yes, it's been a good day. The only thing I haven't done yet is work on a book.

@just4him Went fine I guess. Now just a wait and see how long it takes the maintenance guy to fix the few things that need fixed. Last time he never came back.
that's good to hear it had been a good day...and hopefully you got some time to do that since I know you love to do that

It's raining and in the 50s here today. So far my day is off to a good start and I'm hoping to catch up via phone with my friend today.
