If I could only have 5 cookbooks. . .

While I was on the EatYourBooks website I saw that I have 82 cookbooks on the list. I thought I had over 100 cookbooks but I guess I downsized more than I thought when I moved a few years ago. I'm not a big collector of things like clothes, shoes, purses, etc. but there are some things that I do enjoy collecting like Mexican glassware, Le Creuset, and obviously cookbooks. I could make top 5 lists of cookbooks for all sorts of things. In fact maybe I will. Look at that @FourWalls I just gave myself an idea for a countdown or series or something. Stay tuned!

Well, let’s see it! Did Buffett ever write a cookbook?

There is actually a Margaritaville Cookbook that was released in the past several years. I was sure it would be crap but it actually is very good! I borrowed it from the library first but then I wound up buying it. It is suprisingly good.

@NJChicaa — ah-ha. If you want something funny, look up Don Henley’s chili recipe. He wrote it originally for a book called Rock and Roll Cuisine.

There's only 1 cookbook I need, and it's called the internet. LOL I wonder what cookbook @porwest uses?

@NJChicaa I bet that you are more creative than you think! I'm hit or miss when it comes to creativity. Some times I can do like Jim does and wing it, and turn out a masterpiece, and then there are times when I have to follow recipe directions just to create something basic.

I actually thought about calling out @porwest in this post. haha He just makes it up as he goes. He think's I'm a terrible cook b/c I use recipes. HELLO my degree is science. I'm used to followoing instructions for all of those lab classes. I don't do art. I'm not creative.

I have discovered that with age I use less and less my cookbooks, even my favorite one (The joy of cooking). Online pictures give me ideas and now I tend to cook with what is in the fridge, freezer and pantry.
