I need to avoid my father

From now on I will try to avoid him. My father is telling me that he wants a divorce and that he will find another woman. This shows his lack of empathy. He started to use abusive words towards my mom even if she wasn't home. He swears a lot. I need to get rid of him and I am stuck. He drinks a lot and he wants a divorce because my mom has a different religion. He is drowning in alcohol and he blames my mom. He doesn't care about me at all. After being stuck in a room he doesn't want to change the doorknob. I can be stuck again there. I had a bad mood, and now I feel desperate and I want to have my own income. The house smells like alcohol now. He expressed his anger, made me feel awful, and went to sleep. Sometimes I hate him.

I don't think he will leave, and you can't count on that, I believe you should make a plan for yourself to get out. I would say even get some help from family or friends, what does your mother want to do?
You can't solve his problem and it's not your fault, you need to look after yourself. I am sorry this is happening to your family.
