I do not know what is the fuss about these ugly and I mean ugly handbags. I no longer carry a bag these days, but why do women think these are nice looking? It's nothing but an expensive fad. Do you own a Gucci? What expensive handbag do you like or have?

I’m not sorry, and neither should you be. I had to look up the price of those, and let me tell you…my vacation to Texas back in March didn’t cost as much as one of those bags! If someone wants to blow $2,500 on one of them, it’s their money and they can spend it however they please. Personally, that much money would get me a few days at a great resort in Key West. Unless you can get Don Henley to tote my bag for me, I’m not paying a car’s down payment for a handbag.

I used to love bags. And they were beautiful. The last bag like that was 100% leather (Prune) and I bought it in Argentina. It was expensive. It had several different pockets to place different things. But the problem was that it was too heavy and lately I don´t like heavy bags. So I gave it to Carolina my granddaughter for her birthday and Leticia gave me a fabric one I use now. It is not expensive but it is light. Just what I need.

I'm not a fan of any of these shown here. I like to carry a purse that reflects what is inside of it-and that isn't alot of money. I average between $50 and $80 for a purse and that is enough.

I have not bought a purse in so many years, I can't remember. But what I do know is that I never paid more than $15 or $20 brand new for a purse. Almost always cloth, but sometimes the fake fake leather. I don't prefer those, I like the cloth. I am still using an old blue jean purse and it is enough for me. I like to be able to put them in the washer and dryer too. I just found this on an etsy shop, sold out for $8. It is almost exactly like mine. LOL

They remind me of Louis Vuitton's bags and I never liked those. Gucci is supposed to be way more unique than this, what are they doing? Well, the first bag is quite 'high fashion' as it looks like a trash can. Very deep design. I only have a pair of glasses by Gucci but I chose them for their shape, not their brand. And didn't pay for them. Same with handbags, I don't own branded ones but they're all gifts. Actually, I should get a new one. Definitely not a Gucci, not a Gucci trash can either.

@RebeccasFarm DG bags look more 'sober', but not worth spending over a thousand for.

I picked up a heap of handbags once for a pittance. Someone was chucking out theirs. I would never pay a lot for a bag.

I have an old, old blue jean bag with zippers and pockets. True 90s style or earlier. I am not into expensive anything, no need to impress anyone. I like hippie bags most. Used to cut out and make my own. Always shoulder straps that can also be shorter. I love the Vera Bradley bags, but won't pay their price for them.

I'm not a Gucci fan - not even the look alike ones. We have Gucci stores in our malls and I don't even care to look. I used to love purses, but I never needed a name brand one. Now I carry a small shoulder bag . . . I'm fine with cool ones I find at thrift stores!

I don’t get all the hype for LV bags. You’re just paying for the name. Gucci too though they are slightly more appealing to the eye.

I have never owned an expensive handbag, but I do carry a fairly nice purse. The one I purchased was cheap, at a St. Vincent de Paul's Store(used items).

I buy my handbags second hand from a charity shop. They have some nice ones in stock and they do not cost as much as a brand new one. I cannot understand why people buy over priced designer bags .

It's just a status symbol for the shallow and materialistically obsessed. For the price of such a bag, I'm sure plenty of meals could have been bought (or something else a lot more worthwhile than those bags.)
