Are you loyal to a certain brand of food or to a certain company.??? I am not loyal at all. If one store is having a good sale on items than I will go to that store to save money. If that store has higher prices the next week. Than I will go to another store with good prices. The same with restaurants. There are some that have gotten so high in price that I will not go to them anymore. I can fix food at home better than a restaurant and it tastes better to. A lot of prices have doubled since covid is gone and on those items I will do without. I do not need over priced items. When I can fix most stuff at home a lot cheaper.

I could go to Applebees but its too generic for me. There is a too tasty local restaurant about a mile from my house that I go to if I need breaded shrimp. That being said, I am trying to cut back on calories and fat so I am staying home more these days. There is a teriyake place that has decent tofu dishes, though.

@TheHorse I try to support local peeps. You'd love the little diner near my house. Route 66 signs. Too large servings. Old school vibes.

Generic is a good word for it. But I still like their food. I haven't been there in awhile, though .

@jstory07 Not doubled, but they have gotten more expensive. I actually like Applebee's steaks.

I rarely even go to restaurants, unless my daughter or my oldest son insists on us going. I don't do fast food...and as you said, I can also fix better food than I could pay way too much for in a restaurant. As for brand names, I have very few loyalties. I use generic stuff a lot of the time--it's all about the price. If something is on sale for a great price that we use often and will keep, such as dry goods or cans, I get extra because I know they probably won't be on sale again any time soon. We do what we have to do.

There aren't many places to buy food(that we like) around here, unfortunately, so we shop where we normally do.

I’ll switch to cheaper products for every single thing except my facial products. That works well for my sensitive skin, and I worked too long to find the right combo. Thankfully, what I use has never been expensive. As for restaurants, if they get too expensive I’ll leave and never look back. But as for grocery stores, I always go to Walmart. They are the closest to me by far, and next to Aldi’s (which doesn’t have all I need), it is always the cheapest store.

Same as you, I am not loyal to a brand, if I find a good deal I buy. I discovered that many "non brand" products are a lot better than those branded and a lot more expensive.

I’m brand loyal and to me, convenience means everything. I’m a gourmet cook, and can whip up great meals at home. However, hubs and I often dine out and don’t care about the price.

we don't shop just cause of a sale we just get the things we need without going all over the place shopping, we spend enough time out & about just paying bills & we don't buy certain foods till we need to, we have plenty to hold us over a few mons.

I learned to enjoy brands of food that my mom used for years. Then I went to Latvia and of course had to change my lifestyle completely, Now I am satisfied with saving money and really enjoy the Great Value brand from Walmart, I have not gone to a fast food place or a restaurant in ages,

Some things I am and others no. It's the old adage, you get what you pay for, but it's not always the case. The store brand can be just as good on certain items. Eateries, I like to go to places I've had a good experience with the food, service and atmosphere. Almost all if not all restaurants have greatly increased prices, so I go less often. Clothes, I go to stores which have coupons for extra savings and will buy a lesser-known brand sometimes if I like the style and fit. Unfortunately, since this administration has taken over in 2020, inflation increased to its highest level since the 70's and only recently eased and has now stagnated. Hopefully a change in policies will get inflation under control come the next election.
