It used to be good, but not anymore!

Do you ever see this phrase or something similar when you go to sign up for an app? It kind of drives me crazy, because it seems like most of the apps I hear about and want to sign up have fallen out of favor with users. I always get the feeling if I had signed up 6 months before I really would have been pleased with it. Do you run across these types of issues?

I have plenty of apps, but if I do not get use out of a particular app, then it is quickly uninstalled.

I won't install one in the first place if the reviews are primarily negative. I don't need to add frustration into my life.

@snowy22315 Mine must be functional to download. I have one that I really prefer, which has all of the flyers in it, and it is handy to open at the grocery store when I am price matching.

I’m not much of an app downloader. I use the basics.

I don't download adds often so I don't read reviews often, but I tend to notice the useless positive reviews the most. Some apps ask you for a review every 5 minutes, quite annoying. So users will just give a random amount of stars and say "good", if not jibberish.

That can happen to, but I usually seem to get the ones that the user is currently frustrated with..

I do see it a lot, and I understand it in some regards. I’m old, so I don’t like change in my technology. When they change an app it throws my equilibrium off.

It wouldn't be so bad, but as discussed before, whenever they change an app or a site, it always seems to be for the worse.

@FourWalls I can't think of one that was! For example, remember the whole New Coke debacle!

That happens even more frequently with apps. I have had some of those experiences myself. Some I used to like alot became crappy over time.

I only download important applications, some applications actually slow down performance.

If an app is gonna pay me money, I don't care much about performance. As long as it doesn't have a virus or something. I only download well known apps.

@snowy22315 Unfortunately, only applications with a small income last longer.

I had one that seemed like it would be interesting, but it never really opened, it just kept telling me it was "downloading resources."
