Garden Day

I managed to get a bit behind so trying to catch up! Yesterday (Tuesday) was garden day. Hubby came out and helped.
He planted radishes, and two different kinds of carrots. These were all seed that he sowed. I did some weeding and put out the first 6 tomato plants.
The cauliflower is looking very good. Most of the plants already have blooms on them. We have never grown cauliflower before so didn't plant a bunch of them, but we will have plenty if all these plants survive. I think we have 7-8 plants in the garden.
The collard greens need picking again. This will be the second picking I've done on them. I will get that done tomorrow or this weekend. I think I will freeze this batch after I cook them.
That is the majority of the day yesterday other than routine things around the house. We just about wore ourselves out. We worked out there for a little over an hour when the hubby was getting hungry and blood sugar dropping so we took a break and came inside to eat. After a short rest and lunch we went back out for another hour or so in the garden.
How was your Tuesday?

I enjoyed working at home sharing good news stories here as well as completing surveys.

@just4him Thank you! They went well and we enjoyed the visit. Our cardiologist is one of one of my former boss's sons. It was nice to hear about what the rest of the family is doing. I think my husband had more fun talking to him today. He didn't get too much in the way of comments with them two going back and forth. He always schedules us the last patients of the day. He only works until noon.

It sounds like you will have a nice full garden with lots of varieties.
We have grown cauliflower, as well as broccoli in years gone by.
We stopped because (in our region) they attract worms which are difficult to deal with and always end up winning and destroying the vegetable completely.
I hope that doesn't happen to you.

Thank you. Just another kink in it with the peeps at the antique store. Been going around and around with them. They don't post fairly for all vendors so I requested to post my own things. They would let my posts sit for days. I am 99% sure I am moving. I just need to find a new store and SOON!

Working in garden is therapeutic but exhausting. I am sure that you had a tiring day. I hope that all the plants do well and you have a good harvest to enjoy. I am away from my garden. I have asked my household help to water the plants. I hope that my garden is doing good. It will be a lot of work once I am back there this weekend.

@kareng I hope that too. Today she showed me the plants on video call. They looked good. I will be there on this weekend to see the plants.

That's a lot of work. I hope everything flourishes in your garden. How are you recovering from your rooster encounter?
