Google lens

I found a fun app called Google Lens. A friend shared about going antiquing and using it. I didn’t have to download it as it’s always on my web browser. When I opened Google chrome on the right side of the search bar is a camera. That’s what opens the Google lens feature. If you don’t have Google chrome on your phone you can download it in the App Store but here is a link: https://apps.apple.com I tried it out on some flowers last week and thought it was fun and easy to use. It taught me these two flowers in the collage are a Red trillium and a Yellow trout lily.

Apple has their own version built into the camera. If your phone is an android, you don't need chrome. It's part of Android.

@shaggin Ah. I see. well something like that is built in the app. Especially if you have IOs 16 or later. You just point your camera at something, and if there's text yellow squares highlight it. and there's a button that appears that'll let you copy capture translate etc. You take a picture of an object, and then hit the i icon and it gives you the option to look up whatever it is. Or you can press and hold on a subject, and it'll do the same thing.

@snowy22315 I discovered yesterday that I can use a photo I have stored on my phone and kind up upload it to that app and find out what the items are. That would work better than me doing it when I am out since a lot of places I dont have good service for data to work.

@wolfgirl569 saves me a lot of time Googling things to try to identify what things are.

I haven't seen a trillium since my Campfire Girl days. Have a good day.
