When Good Came From The Bad

Does ANYONE have stories when something bad happened, and then something really good came out of it? Like, really good? Or, if not, I’ll settle for the last good thing that happened to you. *A female Cardinal came to say hello.

My eyes were damaged during my birth delivery. Forceps were used and the doctor pressed too hard. I met my husband through us both going through the rehabilitation for the blind and visually impaired. I am grateful that through us both having eye problems we met. It’s been the best blessing ever.

Well, when a car I had previously broke down and had to be towed..The current garage I use were the ones who towed me..so I found some good cheap mechanics!

The salvage person we sold an old vehicle to became our mechanic and is such a blessing and so honest. I think he likes to help us because we are "old".

Good/bad things happen to me a lot, but my brain is refusing to do much along that line right now. When my first husband was ill with Lou Gehrig's disease, at one point I developed such pain in my left hip and leg that I had to literally lift that leg by pulling on my clothes with my left hand. . . then my husband got worse, and I had to start physically transferring him from bed to chair, etc. The movements of doing so must have released my muscles or the tendon or whatever. I never hurt like that in my left hip any more. It gave me insight into how to exercise for that problem.

@1creekgirl Thank you, my actual manager doesn't recognize my achievements. I appreciate the general manager recognizing them, we all like to be recognized.

Cute photo of the female cardinal. Here my story. Soon after I graduated, the principal of the college asked to me if I could work there for a few months because their head secretary just had a baby. I accepted, it was only a temporary job that I did not particularly like. After a couple of months I got a very bad pneumonia and I had to stay home for 3 weeks. My dad refused to let me go work again there. I waited to be well and I was hired bya Financial Office and there I met my husband.

Cute cardinal. Well, for me it was way back in 1994 when my first marriage was terrible and my mom wanted to return to her homeland Latvia and she was already in her early 80s. And I helped make the decision we went to Latvia I met my soul mate and Martin and I had 20 great years together, After that I have been hanging in there, Thank you for the suggestion @1creekgirl

I would have to say the car wreck that I was in at 17. A drunk driver ran stop sign and hit the car was a passenger in broadside, spun the car around and hit it a second time. I was thrown out of the car. That was the last time I traveled with no seat belt on!! The driver that ran the stop sign was killed on impact. I ended up with a blood clot on the brain, broken nose, broken ribs, broken tail bone and lots and lots of cuts, bruises, etc. I was in the hospital for weeks and had a long recovery over several more months. I was able to go back to work and move back to my apartment. I had a lot of down time to reflect on things and life. I took a look at some of the guys I had been dating and decided that they were not what I wanted. It was coming up on Christmas and I thought about one of my former boyfriends I had dated in the 10th grade. He had a birthday coming up on the 21st of December. I called him and wished him a happy birthday. He asked me out before we hung up. I was so excited! We went out and started dating again like we had never broken up. He proposed on Valentine's Day and we got married later that year. God put a good person back into my life!!

Many many things. That is why I say god is great. He knows when to give us what. Every time I am in rush to get what I want, and its not materializing, I tell me, there has to be some reason, valid reason for this delay. I will realize it...and be thankful for it.

Okay I finally remembered something good and if I think about it, it's a result from something that could be considered bad. For the last year or so my power bill has been a lot higher even in the budget plan. Well, is have to check when exactly but sometime this winter I found out that I didn't owe the power company that month and the next and the next. I thought I owed them something this month but when I went to look I still have a credit. They are also lowering what I'll need to pay from 192.00 to 127.00 per month. When I told my sister she said that the power company expected prices to shoot they the roof so the charged more initially. Eventually they realized that the prices weren't going up much if at all. It's been at least four months since I've had to pay if not more. Huge blessing.

Is that your photo? Sweet girlie bird. Two Mourning Doves showed up today. I felt a little sorry for them because the feeder is small, made for songbirds. The mourning doves splashed beige wings as they arced up and away. Very pretty.

My sister caught this pretty little birdie at their feeder last week. They’d had a visit from a male cardinal, but this was the first time a female showed up. You paint a lovely picture just from your words.

Yes, some things are happening now. Because of anxiety, I have a lot of energy and I can do my chores. I am not sure if this is really good. I wish I would feel calm and do my chores like a normal person.

That happens to me often. Here is one Our maid had issues in her personal life and that made her stay away often. I had to send her away but the present arrangement with a male guy having taken over everything is better than before.

You mean the bird? A lot of people post pictures to go with discussions, just to post a picture. That’s what I did. I can think of several. I’m just posting a picture and explaining what it it was.
