A Minute For Me

And the craziness continues. I mean well. I plan to be here daily. Life gets in the way. Hubby was finally begin to make some real progress after his heart procedure (mitral clips). His outlook was much more optimistic, his breathing had improved and his strength was slowly building up, Then it happen! He had another dizzy spell and fell, breaking his hip. For him, with his other health conditions this was devastating. His choices were limited. Hip replacement, with a 40-70% chance of not surviving the surgery or palliative care Not much of a choice. He made it through the surgery and for ten days improved steadily. The last four days his health has deteriorated again. We watch, we pray, we hope. I managed an overdue appointment with my hairdresser, giving me a few minutes of normalcy in a crazy, crazy couple of weeks.

That is our hope, but the likelihood of a good recovery has lessened with each passing day.

Thank you. Prayers certainly can’t hurt. The combined prayers have brought us a long way forward since all this began just over a year ago.

Medical things are a mystery still. I'm an EMR and going to EMT class right now and it's still a mystery to me sometimes. I watch my dad's health get better and decline like a see-saw all the time. I hope everything gets better for you and your husband.

I’ve learned so many medical terms….now if only I could speak French I’d even be able to communicate with all of the staff instead on only those who are bilingual.

I was thinking of you on Saturday, glad to read your post. I love a trip to the hairdresser, it is so uplifting. She did a great job on your hair. I will continue to keep your hubs in my prayers so that he can settle and rest peacefully now.

The hairdresser did a wonderful job. The photo makes my hair almost look blonde. (Yes that is my natural colour.)
