Spring is hopping along. Huge Rhodendrens of deep pink and purple and even red, are everywhere in my town. My own corner, my property, is starting to get in on the action. I think it was a pinky dogwood that is just done blooming. Both apple trees were gorgeous-ask the bees about that. The strawberry bed is alive with white blooms. The raspberries are doing their best to take over the strawberry bed. It looks like the perennial geraniums will bloom any day. The pansies and petunias are lovely, too.
Hubby and I just went out and pounded five rebar stakes into the top edge of the berry patch. Tomorrow he plans to attach fence to the stakes. That will cut off a path to the garden that the pups like to take. I have a feeling we will be engaged in more of this activity sooner than later. We also have a way to string a couple of lines of single strand wire on the side to ward off more dog streaking.
I pulled the garden hose today, delivering water to various gardens. Yesterday I planted green beans, a tomato and lettuce. All that got a drink today. Here's hoping for emerging leaves!

I don't have anything popping on my property yet but my neighbors azalea bush is gorgeous.
