I Love Cheese

For some reason recently I can't seem to get enough eggs and cheese. I think my body is telling me I need more protein. I enjoy eggs boiled or scrambled with some tuna or whatever mixed in it. I also enjoy omelets and quiche But I can't get enough cheese. I like American, Mild Cheddar, Swiss, Pepper Jack, Brie, Mozzarella, smoked cheese curds, Colby, Provolone, Monterey Jack, and string cheese. I know that there are a lot of different kinds but I don't care for the sharp flavors. Are there any other mind-flavored ones you know of that you think I might like?

My husband and I used to enjoy Muenster and Cream Havarti. Both mild. Have a good day.

I can only think of cheddar and mozarilla. I also love cheese. I usually dip the meat to a hot melted cheese whenever my partner and I eat at a Samgyupsal place. It's really good. We also tend to put cheese on top of our Ramen, and eat it together with dried seaweed, eggs and meat.

I've never eaten seaweed. Is it a bit salty?

@celticeagle Some dried seaweed are salty, some of them are not. The unsalted ones are usually used to make sushi.

I have times like that when I have to put cheese on everything or will have a big block of cheese on its own! Our go-to cheese is Cheddar. It's one of the cheapest and most widely available. I also like some local cheeses. There's one called Five Counties, which is (as you may guess) five different cheeses in one block. It contains Somerset cheddar, red Leicester, Derby, Cheshire, and double Gloucester. They're all mild cheeses. I like some mature cheeses but not the blue ones. Camembert and brie are softer, quite nice warm, but still mild. Another mild cheese is Wensleydale. I'm not a fan of it but you can get various versions, including one with cranberries. There are also lots of others such as Yarg (hard to find but they do various strengths and flavours). One more I like is a cave-aged one that is aged in the caves of Wookey Hole (a tourist attraction in Somerset) but that's a little more mature than mild.

@celticeagle I never used to like cheese that much, except a little on toast. I like it much more now. I will try different ones but, you're correct, too much is not good. My eldest son could live on cheese as he loves all of it. I don't think he has met a cheese he doesn't like He's not allowed the blue ones at home, though, they're too stinky

Too much can cause a blockage and constipation but I do like a good amount. That's a lot of cheese you list there. Sounds interesting. No, not into the mature ones.

I don't think I've had any parmesan besides the powdered type you get in the container to sprinkle on pizza or whatever. Sounds good though. So Havarti is a mild one?

@celticeagle Blech on shaker Parmesan. That's the same as comparing frozen pizza to home made pizza. Havarti is buttery and way too tasty.

I love fresh mozzarella. It is so smooth and soft and great tasting!!! I don't eat too much tuna or other fish. I have a Ginger Tabby (Petey) who loves fish, but the "END" result is awful. Petey can fire off some of the worst "fish farts" that a being has ever experienced. He can clear my apartment in less than 10 seconds flat with one of his fish farts and it takes about 10 minutes of having the windows open to clear out the smell. PHEW!!!! My Mom coined the phrase "Fish Fart" when it came to my cats. They all loved fish flavored cat treats and cat food, and it would never fail, they would end up in her lap and they would release a horrible toxic fish fart!!!

Oh, dear Petey. Poor guy! Your poor mom. We had a dog who did burrito farts that were toxic so I can relate.

You've named off all the main ones I can think of. Muenster is really good too, as well as gouda. I am a cheese nut myself. I'd eat more eggs if they were still cheap, but lately they have been very expensive.

I'm sorry, I hardly ever eat cheese. Eggs are my favorite. When I was at my parents' house, they kept 10 hens laying eggs because they were raised in free range. They can relax and stroll around.
