what are they saying about me?

Ha and more ha. The over night visit went well. Kind of like the "oldsters comedy team." She is an artist and creative person. Sweet natured and the leader- not saying boss but yes, she for sure ensured that her Mister steered in the correct direction. Mister and my hubby both have hearing issues. They sat together and exchanged Norwegian jokes. We ordered in teriyake tofu and chicken noodles dishes. Both pups got into trouble for jumping on people and being enthusiastic. Entertaining and friendly evening. All three cats came out of hiding. Mister wanted to know which animal arrived first? Why were there three cats and just two dogs? I'm glad they graced us with their personalities. I showed Ms. my pile of past Yule tales and ran into the papers that my grandmother wrote. My great grandmother dictated to her my Dad's history. Those papers and their eccentric handwriting and eccentric spelling always stop me. I stayed up way too late reading through what I could and discussing the facts with my hubby. Now I'm tired for sure. I am glad I did not dream about bushwackers and covered wagons and cooking for a jail!! I'm glad the house is again quiet and I can sleep when I feel the need coming on.

That sounds like a really fun night. It can be great though when visitors go and the house is quiet again.

@JudyEv I'm not a social person but folks get curious about our house and of course staying with us is cheaper than a motel. I'm glad the visit was a one nighter.

@JudyEv I am the youngest in my family. There were four girls born before me. The sisters used to gripe cause they all had to sleep in one bed when they were little. The farmhouse did not have good heat upstairs so I imagine their being in one bed helped keep them warm.

@sallypup Years ago, we always had people staying with us even if it meant kids doubling/tripling in the one bed, or top and tailing - remember that?

I am glad it was a good visit. I did not sleep soundly last night, up every two hours, and wild dreams. Our illustrious leader was pursuing me (why?) around and around this large building. I just wanted to go to the bathroom. I found one and locked myself in. I am exhausted, too. Perhaps you and I should both get some extra sleep.

I'm not used to having four people total in my house. It helped that the couple was easy going and got along with four leggeds.

I'm glad the night went well. I'll bet it's nice to have your house back though.
