It looks AWFUL!
Red, black, blue, puffy, twisted. It really looks BROKEN!
He was hauling those first 6 bags of donations to church on Wednesday. When he opened the donation bin to put the bags in, something fell out on his foot, cutting one toe and breaking his big toe.
He says it's very painful. Naturally, he hasn't sought medical attention and isn't doing anything about it other than "suffering through."
MEN!

I'm so sorry, it looks really painful. Tell him I'm praying for him.
Do you have power? We're right on the edge of the freezing rain. Thankful to have a generator if the electricity goes off.

I hope your hubby feels better soon and the toe doesn't need any attention.
I've never broken a toe but I have broken bones in both feet. Doctors usually do an x-ray and then tell you to use a cane to help with getting around unless the bone is protruding or misaligned. (Depending on how wealthy you are
, they might also suggest a boot or cast but that really isn't necessary. If the bone is protruding or misaligned, they'll set it or do surgery and tell you to stay off it for a few weeks while taping it to the next toe.)
When I was around 10 years old, I broke a bone in my right foot. One of my brothers was a medic in Korea and he checked the foot out and told mom it was fine and I should just do the best I could and didn't need a cast. Later, I broke a bone in my left foot. Mom looked at my foot and told me to go out and play and just be careful walking around on it.

Tape it to the one beside it. That's about all you can do for a toe
