Love is a feeling of joy when your girlfriend steals it from you, it is a pain in the neck when your wife has it and a relief if your beautiful nextdoor neighbour's daughter proposes to you again ....after so many change-overs of relations.
well, if you've ever been in love its with your mom; the first time she held you and you swooned over looking at her .

Love is one of the fruit of the Spirit. Love is not an emotion or a mushy feeling. Love is action. God not only wants us to walk in love, but He wants to be love. We could put the word “I” for the word “love” in I Cor. 13. The only way we can walk in this kind of love is to be in Jesus.

Love is when you can wake up next to the same partner everyday and still feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Love is when you can't stop thinking about someone and you try to speak but your voice has gone and you gasp with happiness. Love is when you feel as though your heart is going to explode because of all the emotions you have inside it for a particular person. Love is what makes people happy.

I have asked this question myself in one of my posts. In a nutshell I think it is a combination of things:
The spirit of God experienced
The greatest feeling in the world
Right action for the sake of goodness
An evolutionary trait helps us survive
A healing energy
A process that creates and maintains life
Prolonged happiness of the mind, body, and soul
An ability to sacrifice for all the right reasons
...and so much more
