If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

I belive no man or woman can recomend a woman about this, the woman has to decide for her self and what she belive sis the best for her, the kid and her family. An abortion is not an easy thing to go through and it haunts you for a long time after..

I don't think it is best to abort the child simply because he/she may have disabilities. The disabilities of her other children, though they are unfortunate, and may make life more difficult, are not so unbearable as to make life not worth living. I am fairly confident in saying that if you ask a blind child/person, or a deaf child/person, or even a retarded child/person if they would have rather not been born at all, or born with their disability, they would not say that they would have rather been aborted. If this mother feels she cannot handle another child with disabilities then she can give it up for adoption. Also, in the future, if this mother has so many difficulties in childbearing, and does not want to deal with the potential complications then it would be best to take measures to prevent pregnancy in the first place rather that becoming pregnant and then deciding for her child that his/her life is not worth having.

oh. yes. this is a hard question to decide about. you try to talk to your doctor first. ask for his/her opinion about your pregnancy. know if the baby's gonna suffer much or not. your doctor will surely help you out and will assist you in deciding. you should also get the opinion of your husband about the situation. it's good to have many heads thinking about it than just you solving it on your own.

Nope! They have the right to live in this world. You might know that child in her womb is normal.

but what if the baby won't be normal? the woman will obviously know this through undergoing examinations. the mom is just curious on what to do since i think she does not want to bring up another life with disabilities.

No I would not recommend an abortion. That's murder.I would suggest she give it up for adoption no matter what the conditions are.I know God could heal.
