Do women really talk more?

A bestselling book claims that women say an average of 20,000 words a day and men only 7,000. Can it be true?

oh come on! do u really take women average? believeing EVERY woman talks more? many women do so becuz they have to confess to friends of their problem with partner or husband, while he is not ready to listen to her. they have more problems to discuss. however i dont think that men talk so little, if they did they would be boring... my fiance is socialbe and he has many frieds and talks to them so much, while im a shy person and mosly of the time i spend on my own in silence (im woman).
