i have to be honest, i will not help if im alone...but if i'm with another friend, then i will probably help him/her out.but i prefer to help by buying them some food and if they want money..i will give them some money.

I have helped on many occasions. It doesn't take much to help out. I occasionally give money but mostly I buy them food. Oncem though, I bought a sandwich and a pepsi in a quick mart for a homeless guy and he said he would keep the pepsi but didn't like quickie mart's sandwiches.

Homeless person - Homeless
If I was by myself, then no I wouldn't but if I was with my husband and/or son, then I would take them to a soup kitchen or one of the charitable institutions. If they looked really sick, then I would call an ambulance for assistance. I would not give the person any money because I could not be certain that they would spend the money on food and nor could I actually know that they were homeless. Any spare money that we do have, we make a donation to charity because they are the ones who are equipped to know who are the ones in genuine need and those who are not.

Of course I would, I could never leave someone in need even though it may be their way of life. If I could do the slightest thing to help, I would not hesitate.

homeless lady - most of us are just one paycheck away from being on the streets. precarious living in a very rich country. our systems are skewed and not readily to available to everyone that needs them
Hopefully I would have some money and would offer to take them to the nearest eatery. Would hope to feed them and converse with them on their terms and see if maybe I could find another way to help. At least find out if they have a shelter they attend and try to donate to that shelter. Would find out what size they were and try to find clothing at our local free clothing bank and take it to them. Would do what ever it would be that they would let me do.
