Do you believe in adopting this attitude towards capital punishment. Should the punishment mirror the crime, or is that a crime in itself? Besides America, do any other countries still have capital punishment? Whats your opinion on the matter?

It works out if we could be fair to each other. I don't believe in capital punishment, I think those people should just be put in jail for life.

Do you think it is worse for them to have to suffer with the guilt of what they have done, or do you not believe in taking another human beings life, regardless? How would you feel if it were your child that was murdered? What punishment would you demand then?

Yes I do. If a person murders another person, then why should that person live. If a adult molestes and child, then why can't that person suffer like the child did. I do believe in this saying and I also believe that some of these criminals are getting off to easy.

How do you make a child molestor suffer? Get someone to molest them?! Most molestors were sexually abused as children... What do you think is an appropriate punishment for offenders?

In our country life against life or 14 yrs. imprisonment against a life. I think against a life more punishment need to take otherwise people will get inspiration to kill a life. Capital punishment also here for abusing or rape a girl and woman say at least 3 yrs. to 10 yrs. jail.

Capital punishment is definitely not an answer. Capital punishment provides a very bad precedent for others to follow. If killing is made legal through capital punishment or by whatever name it is called then this policy of killing may be practiced by other members of the society under their own brand names. The reason given-if law can kill a person when he/she does wrong why not we? How can one justify this?

Well Megs, I'm a libertarian and anarchist person, so I've always been against every kind of capital punishment, but I have to admit that the latest violent facts shocked me so much that I'm changing idea.... I think that capital punishment isn't a good way to make justice, but I think also that we sometimes need revenge, and so I can understand people who want their rapers to die, for instance. I think that "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" is a primitive way of solving problems, but in this period socity is so violent that it isn't easy to take the right decision.

Well all criminals are not professionals, some commit crime at the heat of the moment , I feel those who can be reformed should be tried.

Yes, that is the rule. An eye for and eye, tooth for a tooth, life for a life, and so on. The rule is just and fair and it is what Allah has ordained.
