when I was young, our church used to have christmas day services. It was held on the morning of the 25th of december. Now as time goes by, our church doesnt have these celebrations anymore. I dont want to attend other church services. Our christmas program now is held the Sunday before Christmas. It would just be lucky if christmas falls on a sunday. We celebrate exchanging of gifts with our church members. Our christmas cantata is also held on this sunday. christmas day is a wonderful celebration of commemorating the wondrous and miraculous birth of Jesus Christ. I am not a catholic, so I cant attend midnight masses called simbang gabi here in the Philippines. Christmas should be celebrated everyday. that would be a dream come true.

I also usually go to midnight Mass with my wife and children. I didn't go when the children were little because it was too late for them but no they are in their late teens and stay up late anyway. We live within walking distance of the church and usually try to arrive betwee 11:15 and 11:30 in order to get a good seat. They have a choir singing Christmas carols from about 11:00 so it makes for a nice relaxing hour before the Mass begins and the Christmas eve Mass is always beautiful.
