A neighbour who had emigrated here from uk, bought very nice cane furniture for the lounge. They stayed within there budget. A work colleague went to visit them and rudely told them cane furniture was normally used for verandahs. She explained that when she bought new furniture the cane furniture would be moved to the sun room. The visitor was disgusted. How cheeky can you get!

That is so rude. When you are first starting out any piece of furniture can do until you can afford something better. I remember when I was first starting on my own I bought a bed which had a coca cola sticker on it. To this day we still laugh about that bed. It rocked and rolled every time you rolled over. To me it is not the price of what you buy but the pride in which you buy it. It may not be pretty but it's yours.

I love cane furniture. It is safe for environment. I don't mine to have it at home. It is so rude to make coments in someone home. People have furniture of comfort not visitors comments.

Thats so damn rude. I absolutely loath people like that. Maybe that idiot hasn't realised that cane furniture is actually on its way back into fashion. I recently needed a couple of single seaters for my loungeroom, I chose cane for something different, it suited my budget and they were extremely comfortable and stylish. And guess which seats all my guests fight over, they all dart for the cane ones.
