When is a good time to get a toddler out of her toddler bed and in to a twin bed?

If they are getting in and out of bed on their own I don't think it would be a problem to put them in a twin bed. My kids never had a toddler bed. They went from crib to the twin bed.

every child is different and it also depends on the type of toddler bed. My daughter still loves hers but hers is just a cot with no sides. As she share a room with her sister it gives them more play room too. As long as they are not restless sleepers normal single beds at any where from about two and a half three

I never put my kids in to toddler beds. I didn't feel that spending the extra money on the toddler bed that they wouldn't use very long was a waste of money. If I had put my kids into toddler bed, then I would move them out when they felt comfortable enough or when they got too big for the bed.
