What is the difference between New discussion/Recent Discussion section?

I would like to inform you that the new discussion that is being created just now and the recent discussion is the one that is currently being discussed and which may not be creadted just now it may be a discussion that has been created long back but it is in the recent dscussin list as it might have got latest response from respondent.

I believe that's about as good of a breakdown as you can expect on that subject. Just wanted to say thanks for a solid response and I gave you a "plus" and I didn't even start the discussion. LOL

in recnet discussion the topics in which new replies will be there tht comes in tht page and in new discussion newly topic created recently will be displayed in new discussion page

new discussion is one which is started just now and recent discussion is which was created sometime back.

Very simple... as the name suggests...
new = brand new.. just created...
recent = recently used i.e. someone responded or commented
Isn't tht simple
