Friends can never be won ....... Believe me it is not a game...... they get emotionally attached to you b'use true friend are those who feel the pain when you got hurt.....

dear fbb198, you have brought up a wonderful topic! There is a famous book by Dale Carnegie called 'How to win friends and influence people'. In it, carnegie gives his and others' real life examples of how friends were made, even from critics. First, never look at the actions of others isolated and point at their mistakes. Think about how the person could have reacted. Let the person know subtly and diplomatically how he could have handled the situation better. Second, be sincere to your aims/commitments/goals in your life. Don't simply bow down to others opinions just because the person happens to be more powerful or your boss! Next, dont speak ill of a person behind his back. Say what you have in front of him/her! When someone criticizes you, see how far it is justified, and if so, thank the person for pointing the error of your ways! This will make the person less vindictive to you. Next, always keep in contact with people - out of sight, out of mind! Finally, genuinely appreciate someone if the person has done something good or worthy! These are only some of the points that time permits me to express me now!

I don't think a friend can be won - I mean it's not like winning a prize...you have to gain a persons trust and respect

I have few tips to win & make friends happy. 1. Talk Truth always. 2. Make Humour & be Humourous. 3. Never Hurt While Flirting. 4. Always Encourage him/her to achieve the goal. 5. Call & atleast 2 days Once. 6. Never forget to wish on Birthdays, weekends,festivals etc.. 7. Dont try ask his too personal questions it hurts some people.
