I am fascinated of this place coz the ambiance and also the local folks, don't forget the beach! Probably the number one summer tourist destination in the philippines. Just hope that they maintain and keep it what it should be..

hi! :-) i've seen a lot of our white sand beaches here in the Philippines. From the North down to the South ( but not all the beaches of course). The finest white sand that i've seen and felt is in Boracay. There is one white sand beach in Negros Occidental but it's not as fine with that of Boracay. There are many white sand island beach resort in Iloilo but also not as fine with that of Boracay. Hope that you can visit the Panay Island and discover its beauty. :-)

I guess that's what makes Boracay different from any other white sand beaches, it's purity and fine sands. My mother's province if Aklan, I've been there many twice already but not yet on Boracay. I'm planning to visit the place in the near future, since I need to save lots of money so I can totally enjoy my vacation there..

There are a lot of white sand beaches in the Philippines, Boracay is known for its powdery white sands. But friends I knew who travel a lot say Palawan (El Nido, Coron) is much better than Boracay. Panglao in Bohol is also beautiful.

Yes, there's also Pagudpod in Ilocos. That I think is still one of those not-so-known white sand beaches here in the Philippines, which is still unexplored and fully developed.

oi raijin! ^__^ i have never been to boracay even if it i was so close to it back when i was in iloilo. however, i was able to go to Bohol and enjoyed a super, terrific, beautiful beach there next to Panglao. ^__^ there was white sand and you can't see any blemish except for few starfishes and some other organisms. yeah! you can basically see them in the sand through the very clear water. it was low tide when we went there and we had to go for a couple of meters from the beach just to reach a water level up to our knees! it was really beautiful there and it was like, virginal, unlike i bora which we think is kindof "gasgas" na. LOL

That's good, bohol is a nice place to go to. They also have the most beautiful and cleanest river there, forgot the name though.

pure white sand? Nogas Island, Apo Island, in some parts of Guimaras, Talikod Island and Samal Island in Davao and also in Gumasa of Saranggani Province. Explore Philippines and you'll see a lot of it, untouched.
