Let's admit it, travelling with a stranger in an elevator does make a lot of people uneasy. Some either stare at the floor indicator while others gaze at their own feet. I would rather start a conversation..."hello,.... cell phones dont ring inside the lifts. I like it, what do you think ?"

It's true it can be embarrassing not knowing what to do. But starting a conversation is not easy sometimes, at least for me.

G'day, an easy elevator convo starter i always use is "G'day, i hate the way these elevators make ya gut drop to the floor" and it always gets others in the elevator talking.
